As the name suggests it is built upon two types of therapy:
- Cognitive Therapy: based on your thoughts, beliefs, attitudes and expectations
- Behavioural Therapy: based on your behaviour
An important advantage of cognitive behavioural therapy is that it tends to work fast, taking three to six months for most emotional problems to be alleviated.
